Other Notes
- Alex Koslov was the prior champion, but had previously lost a loser leaves town match.
- starting with this match, the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship seems to have permanently switched from an annual trophy to an occasionally defended championship. The Reina de Reinas title has been defended before, but the tournament itself seems to be over.
- Charly Manson was scheduled to face Chessman, but left the promotion days before this match. Many AAA wrestlers (and Konnan Big) came out to offer to take Charly's place before the match, but his brother Electroshock got the spot, and lost.
