He defeated Terrible on June 6, 2017 in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara in a Torneo Cibernetico to decide the new champion with the final 2 competitors facing off in a one fall match. Other participants in the Torneo Cibernetico were Rush, Mr. Niebla, Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Kraneo, Pierroth (CMLL), Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Bucanero. Title was vacant after the previous champion Maximo was fired from CMLL on May 22, 2017.

A championship reign for Brazo de Plata is erroneously omitted from most listings of this championship history. His championship reign with this title overlapped his CMLL World Trios Championship with Los Brazos.
