A Piedras Negras-born wrestler raised in Monterrey. He claimed to have traveled to Japan, the US, Spain, Germany, Greece, and Argentina with a trip to Saudi Arabia on the way. Also says he's wrestled in Arena Mexico, Tokyo Dome, and the Astrodome. (These are all suspect facts, as are the list of titles.) As of 2010, he claims to have won 76 masks and 89 hairs on apuesta matches.

A biologist on his life outside lucha libre, Mágico also served as an actor on minor films. He starred on three movies and wrote some unpublished books. He survived the death in 2010 as he received a kidney from a fan. Following this sucess, he became an activist who promoted the organ donation.

Mágico wrestled his last match on May 29, 2016 in the Gimnasio Nuevo Mezquital in San Nicolás, Nuevo León. Mágico, teaming up with El Ninja Jr. and Kid Lion, defeated Kiowa, Mongol Chino, and Titanik on a Lucha Libre Unida (LLU) event. He died on September 2, 2016 in Monterrey due to a kidney failure.
