Current Champion
Gatubela is the first and current champion since 2003.
History of Championship
During 2003 the commission of Box y Lucha de Mexicali created special wrestling championships to celebrate Mexicali's Centennial. In orden to determine the inaugural Champions there was a wrestling event held at Arena Mexicali. In that event Gatubela defeated Woman Star to become the inaugural champion.
The title was inactive for twelve years, because there was no more Women's division in Mexicali. At some point Gatubela was the only woman wrestler in Mexicali.
Since 2015, the title was active once again with the new wave of female wrestlers in Mexicali.
