As of 2006.07.15, [[Octagon]] is the Mexican National Middleweight Champion, having defeated Zumbido at a AAA TV Taping. The championship has been mostly inactive since Octagon won it. It's more or less defunct, though there's always a chance it may be randomly defended on a non television show, as AAA does with [[Mexican National Tag Team Championship]]
{{Gallery|name=Gmc.png|caption=[[Guerrero Maya Jr.]] as 62nd champion}}

[[Guerrero Maya Jr.]] is the current champion, having defeated [[Rugido]] on [[June 2]], [[2023]] in the finals of a tournament for the vacant title held at [[Arena México]].
