Career Hightlights
- Flama Roja was a Juarez top rudo (heel)legend of lucha libre In the South of U.S.A and the north of Mexico for 28 years, a pioneer of the hardcore wrestling along with Ari Romero. His style of Wrestling was much more bloody and violent that the ECW, CZW and FMW (the favorite foreign objects of Flama Roja were chains, steel chairs, forks, brass knuckles, broken bottles, etc.), For that reason, It was much feared and respected by all wrestler stars of Mexico. He became a top star attraction. Mexico City promoters (EMLL, UWA) sent their best wrestlers to Juárez just to wrestle Flama Roja.
- In his career won several titles, trophies and also won several masks, hairs in luchas de apuesta.
- 1966: Flama Roja got his start in Guadalajara without mask and under the ring name Arturo Garcia, as Flama Roja makes his presentation in Amarillo, Texas. In Arizona won the Arizona state heavyweight title over Chris Colt.
- September 29, 1974: Flama with Mil Máscaras beat Julio Quiroga and Tony Barbetta in a masks vs hairs match.
- April 10, 1977 In Juarez Flama Roja beat El Solitario in a “Superlibre” (no rules) match, Flama won two consecutive falls, this is one of the most memorable moments of his career.
- December 4, 1977: Flama Roja was a claimant to the U.S. Title, in The Coliseum of El Paso, Texas dispute the NWA world junior heavyweight Championship vs Nelson Royal.
- January 6, 1980: Flama Roja defeated Fishman to win the Northen Light Heavyweight Title in a final eliminatory match for the belt.
- October 7, 1984: Flama Roja defeated El Solitario to win a local Light Heavyweight Title.
- 1987: Flama Roja beat Villano III 3 times in 3 different matches (Flama won in two consecutive falls) in that time Villano are The best wrestler of el Toreo and the WWF world light heavyweight champion.
- 1994: He retired in 1994 but returned with El Legionario (original) for a special farewell match in 2010 vs Cinta de Oro & Rocky Star.
- Flama Roja claims to have won 30 masks in their career, but there are people who say that won more, the same people who claim they saw the trophy room of Flama Roja more than 300 masks but probably that masks Flama remove to the rivals(unmask the rival in a illegal way) in the ring like the rudo's style.
Bio
