Biography

Promising new CMLL tecnico of the turn of the century which never quite made it as the star it seemed. One of a number of guys between Oro and Mistico who were momentarily pushed as a sort of Rey Misterio Jr. type young flying tecnico quickly rising to the top of the card, but failing to stay there over the long term.

First came to in attention in Mexico City as undercard wrestler Rayman. Was revealed to be the son of Rayo de Jalisco Jr. and given the word El Hijo del Rayo de Jalisco Jr. character in 2001, now pushed as a new young star and teaming with the likes of El Hijo del Santo and Negro Casas. Allegedly, his father soon grew jealous when promoters started to book his son instead of him, and the two had some falling out. El Hijo del Rayo de Jalisco Jr. switched to the identity less Hombre Sin Nombre character for a time, then switched back to being called Rayman, but lost the moment he had as a Rayo de Jalisco and was never a top star again.

Drifted around other promotions after leaving CMLL in 2002, including a 2003 stint in AAA and trips thru IWRG. Has mostly been spotted around Guadalajara, including a multiyear stint at Arena Coliseo Guadalajara as an local wrestler working on CMLL cards. At some point in the late 2000s, he and his father made peace again, and he's occasionally returned to using the El Hijo del Rayo de Jalisco Jr. name.
