The 2001 Dos Leyendas (Dos Leyendas: El Santo & Salvador Lutteroth) was held on March 30 in Arena Mexico. This was the first show named Dos Leyendas, but CMLL had traditionally run major shows in March in previous year. This year standardized the practice.

Other Notes

  1. ↑ Panther, Signo and Guerrera were the reigning, but long forgotten, champions. They had not made a defense in the last four and a half years due to being in different promotions and disinterest. The tecnico team became the 20th champions.
  2. ↑ Winning team gained control of the Los Infernales name; Satanico had previously led the group with Bucanero and Guerrero. The two sides would continue to feud over the name for the next six months
  3. ↑ Perro Aguayo's match was his retirement match with the promotion. He would return, but not as a full time luchador. Universo 2000 used his Black Hammer (a martinete) to gain the win, and Perro was strechered out.
