On May 24, 2016 in Arena Coliseo Monterrey, Ángel Justiciero had problems with rival Sértico and both entered in a fight. Justiciero ended unmasked and bleeding of his nose. He left the arena and returned soon later accompanied with local police officers, arguing a group of wrestlers attacked him, a thing denied by people in the arena. He announced his retirement from wrestling on next day through Facebook at consequence of the incident of the night prior.
