He was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 28, 1946. He was said have debuted in 1972, though some sources say he debuted in 1971. He was paired up with Anibal early on as the two wore similar blue and white masks. The two feuded with Karloff Lagarade and Rene Guajardo. Maquez and Anibal then feuded after which ended in a July 1975 mask vs mask match that Anibal won.^[1] After losing his mask, he wrestled as Batman. He lost The Batman mask on December 26, 1981, to Enigma de Oro and later lost his hair to Scorpio in January 1983.
