Debuted in Mexico as a part of the Havana Brothers with long time tag partner Rocky Romero. Spent some time in the LA Inoki Dojo under Antonio Inoki. Nearly 10 years later, started on Lucha Underground as an associate of Mr. Cisco under the name Cortez Castro and eventually wrestled as Veneno (not related to the original Veneno.)
