Isabela Romero Rangel, better known as Chabela Romero was born on September 11, 1936 in Ciudad Serdan, Puebla. Renown for her career in Mexico and Japan with AJW during 70s and 80s. She was trained by Jose Rojas and the original Fantasma de la Quebrada. Debuted on March 27, 1955 on a tournament celebrated in Mexico City. Had a notable feud with Irma Gonzalez. On 1958, Chabela Romero defeated Irma Gonzalez for the vacant Mexican National Women's Championship. It is unclear if she loat the title against Irma Gonzalez on March 13, 1960 in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara. On December 16, 1964, Romero became national champion once more defeating Irma Gonzalez in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara. On May 12, 1966, La Jarochita Rivero defeated Romero and became the new national champion in Puebla. On August 11, 1966, Chabela regained the national title for the third time defeating La Jarochita in Tampico. The feud with Jarochita seemly ended when Chabela defeated her in a lucha de apuestas match on 1966. On June 20, 1971, Romero lost her hair in a lucha de apuestas match against Irma Gonzalez and she would lost two more times in 1974 and 1979. On 1976 Chabela Romero joined with her longtime rival Irma Gonzalez on a tour in Japan with All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling.
