To say that El Santo is just a lucha legend would a huge understatement. He was more than a luchador with a parallel acting career. Santo is a cultural icon, a social phenomenon whose impact in the Mexican society is enormous in many different ways. Santo was a superhero like Superman, Batman or Spiderman - but with the difference that Santo was real and you could go to watch him wrestle every week, while the others were just comic characters.
One day a promoter spoke to Vera about sending some wrestlers for a lucha program in Laredo, Texas, and without really expecting it, the future Blue Demon had his debut on March 31, 1948, wrestling under his real name and defeating Chema López.
After that fight, Vera had a good idea for him. He told his young protegé that he'd wear a blue mask with silver decorations, blue trunks and blue boots, and that his new name was going to be "Blue Demon". The disciple had no objection about it because he knew that Rolando's ideas were always good. Since that day, he decided that the Blue mask would become his heart and soul.
During his first three years in the business Rene Guajardo wrestled as a técnico, but in 1957 he saw Karloff Lagarde in Monterrey and started to wonder if he'd do better as a rudo/heel, as he saw that as a técnico his career wasn't advancing even though he was considered a future big star by the media and the fans (he was voted Rookie of the year in 1955).
Soon thereafter, René and Karloff became good friends. Lagarde already was an stablished main event star and holder of the National Welterweight Title. Back then, most lucha main events were tag team matches, and he knew he'd do better with a regular team partner. He saw all the raw talent in the young man so he proposed him to form a team, and of course, Guajardo accepted. That was René's ticket to stardom, as he moved to the big time matches in a matter of weeks.
A Huracarrana is a rollup, where the attacker jumps on the opponent's shoulders and pulls them backwards into a cradle. It's a trademark lucha libre move. Huracanranas can be done off the top rope, to the floor, and any place where an attacker can drop down onto a victim. By definition, a Huracanrana ends in a pin, but versions where the attacker does not hold are still considered huracaranas. Can be spelled Huracarrana or Huracanrana. The name comes from it's inverter, Huracan Ramirez. The ending pin is called a rana in lucha libre, so Ramirez special pinning move became known as the Huracanrana.
Dinastia is AAA's one of the most promising rookies, is still very young and is one of the best minis in AAA. Debuting in 2006 or 2007, he started his career as a barely trained hardcore wrestler and mainly wrestled for DTU, until being noticed by AAA and being picked as a contestant in their AAA Quien Pinta Para La Corona and eventually winning its minis division. Now He's a part of AAA's minis division and for him bright future is ahead.
Hijo del Vikingo High flyer who debuted in AAA in 2017. He is known for his speed, dives and splashes. A star on the rise, he has endless potiential.
Karloff Lagarde's biggest year was 1964, when he etched his name in history as holding three titles at once, beating El Santo himself to do it. Lagarde captured the Mexican National Middleweight Championship on April 11, 1963 and held all three titles for two months. Lagarde was voted wrestler of the year in the magazines.
Lagarde's success opened doors for other members of his family: his son Karloff Lagarde Jr. and his brother Angel Negro enjoyed lucha libre careers. Lagarde won other titles, including the National Tag Team Championship with his real life friend Rene Guajardo, and they often teamed during their careers.
He officially debuted some months later, also in Monterrey, and his first ring name was "El Pelón" (Baldy) Chato Díaz, but he was soon told to seriously consider changing it, because that was the name a lowcarder would have. He used several names, such as "Indio" Mendoza, El Rayo Rojo and El Hombre del Rayo Rojo, and also having a masked run as Gargantua from 1954 to 1955 until losing it to Al Velasco. But the name that finally stuck in was "Ray Mendoza", a tribute to both his maestro Ray Carrasco and his wife Lupita Mendoza. That name is often misspelled as Rey (King) Mendoza, but he never used that name, or even Rey as a nickname.
On February 28, 2015 Misterioso Jr. and Sagrado won the CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship from Delta and Guerrero Maya Jr. after a long running feud that was actually supposed to see the two teams fight for the title a month or so earlier. Misterioso Jr. and Sagrado, well known "Puerto Ricans" (wink, wink), are the two more talented members of La Comando Caribeño. the title change opens up the opportunity for title defenses against younger, high flying tecnico teams, or it may lay dormant for years.
Traditionally CMLL has the finals of their annual Parajes Increíbles Tournament on the Dos Leyendas show. In 2015 CMLL chose to use the finals to help promote the Dos Leyendas, 2015 event as the two teams set to face off in the main event; Máximo and Volador Jr. vs. Rey Bucanero and El Terrible as Volador Jr. and Rey Bucanero won Block A and Máximo and El Terrible predictably won Block B to have the two teams of rivals face off. Since the teams could not both compete in the finals AND the main event the Increíbles Tournament will end on March 6 instead.
Argenis is an AAA low cardwrestler who wears gear closely resembling Mistico, and using many of his moves. Before his debut in AAA, Argenis was quoted in magazines claiming to be a unhappy brother of Mistico, upset his sibling did not push CMLL to give him a bigger opportunity.
AAA went with "the Mistico brother" idea as the definition of his entire character, but not very far - Argenis did not make it out of the opening matches or proved himself especially worthy of a push based on his early ringwork. Argenis was not as much deficient as he was uninteresting, and AAA did little after his since his debut. By virtue of his level, he was often treated as a psuedo-Real Fuerza Aerea AAA members, but faired no better in comparisons with them than he does with his 'brother'. Argenis made less television appearance in 2008, but the exodous of midcard and lower wrestlers opened up spots for him. In May '09, enough of the original Real Fuerza Aerea group had left that Argenis was added to the group. Over the next few years, and despite few television appearances, Argenis has rapidly progressed as a flying luchador.
In 2014 he began appearing in Lucha Underground, in which they smartly abstained from mentioning his relationship to his more famous brother, allowing him to not suffer comparisons.
- current as of March 15
Ángel de Oro made his CMLL in-ring debut in 2008, and is a rapidly rising tecnico high flyer. One of many Laguna based wrestlers to find success in CMLL since the late 00s, Oro has been notable for winning or placing well in many rookie tournaments. Oro can perform spectacular moves, but his greater trait is the reliability of his moves; Oro is one of the more consistent performs of his age range abeit he has taken to being very repetitive in most of his matches. This Angel de Oro was preceded by Angel de Oro (Original)
Angel de Oro started out in Laguna arenas, most notable Arena Olimpico Laguna de Gomez Palacio. He worked against Guerrero Inca in almost all of his early matches. Inca was actually Oro's brother, the future Angel de Plata. Angel de Oro's in ring debut was in late summer '08. He and Plata joined up with Angel Azteca Jr. to form Los Angeles Celestiales, a segunda/tercera trios team battling the likes of Guerreros Tuareg, trading wins and losses without going anywhere. Angel de Oro's singles surge started with a surprise mask win over Fabian el Gitano in June of 2010, and really took off when he won the 2011 Reyes del Aire. Angel de Oro was split off from his teammates, and united with Diamante & Rush to win the Mexican National Trios Championship. The championship and the reign did not amount to much, but spotlighted the three as future stars of the company. Oro also won the long Forjando un Idolo tournament, participated in various tournaments, and challenged Dragon Rojo Jr. for the CMLL World Middleweight Championship. Oro started of the next year by winning the 2012 Reyes del Aire, against a slightly tougher field than the year before. After a long absence due to an injury he returned in 2014. Later that year Ángel de Oro defeated Rey Escorpión to win the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship
- Juan Conrado Aguilar Jáuregui was born on Tuesday, November 26, 1958, in a Cachanilla colonia of Mexicali, the capital city of Baja California Norte, Mexico's northwestern-most state. At the age of 13 years, 2 months, and 6 days, on February 1, 1972, Aguilar had his debut match in the nearby (well, 100 miles, but it is the closest large city) town of San Luis Rio Colorado, in Sonora state, just across the USA border from Yuma, Arizona. Debuting at that age was rare, but not unheard of either - Súper Astro and El Rey Misterio junior debuted in Tijuana at similar ages. For pride-of-place reasons, Texano always had a Western or Cowboy theme to his ring presentation, and on that night, he debuted under a hood as 'Billy the Kid.' Later, he changed his ring name to Roy Navarro, a name taken from his favorite uncle, and trained under Mexicali trainer Caudillo II (Manuel Hernández Flores). From the get-go, Texano was a big success in Tijuana and Mexicali as a young high flier not unlike a Mistico of today, or a Colibri (later Rey Misterio junior) of yesterday. Once or twice, 'Roy Navarro' even appeared on cards in Arena Coliseo from EMLL. EMLL was responding to the UWA 1975 split by heavily pushing younger lighter guys like Fishman, Satoru Sayama, Sangre Chicana, and the like, and was asking regional promoters in Mexico to recommend young fliers. From time to time, he was also billed as 'El Vaquero,' 'Juan El Texano,' or 'Johnny Texas.' But after one of the shows in Mexico City, a very well-respected lucha libre magazine writer named Héctor Valero Maré took Juan aside and suggested 'El Texano' as a ring name instead of 'Roy Navarro' or 'El Vaquero" and Juan agreed.
Chessman in one of AAA's signature rudos. He's never been treated as a top guy, but is usually near or in the main event due to his abilities to make the tecnicos look good. Chessman is as good with comedy tecnico as brawling tecnicos as flying tecnicos. However, much to his own personal disappointment, he's never seen as quite good enough to be champion of the group.
Chessman's character was created by Antonio Pena. Chessman himself was confused at what the new character was supposed to be when it was first proposed to him, unsure if Pena meant him to be a cheese or a chess piece. Pena explained it was actual a takeoff of US serial killer Caryl Chessman, who had used a red light in his murders. Chessman's been a long time ally (and occasional rival) of Charly Manson, who has a similar origin for his character.
Chessman was a fubtol prospect prior to his lucha libre career. He has soccer in his blood - his father was on a championship winning team - but says he never really liked playing himself. Chessman says his soccer career ended when he accidentally injured a foreign player in a practice match.
Prince Puma is the focal wrestler in Lucha Underground where he is the inargual Lucha Underground Champion he won by defeating Johnny Mundo (Formerly John Morrison in WWE). Outside of Lucha Underground he peforms as "Richochet" where he has wrestled all over the united States as well as in Mexico and Japan. He started his career as the masked wrestler "Helios" in Chikara but has since then developed into a world class light heavyweight wrestler. In Lucha Underground Konnan does all his taking, which is fortunate as it hides Prince Puma's very thick Kentucky accent, not fitting for a man who is supposedly a descendant of Aztec warriors.
Los Tortugas Ninjas is the most recent version of a group of wrestlers inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon/comic, this time working for IWRG. The members are Leo (Blue mask), Mike (Orange mask), Rafy (Red mask) and Teelo (Purple mask). These wrestlers are almost certainly someone who has worked for IWRG in the past under one or several different masks, most likely IWRG wrestling school trainees, but unless they are unmasked it will not be confirmed. The group has started feuding with other turtles that work the Mexican Independent circuit including
The new Cuije was created by AAA after the original left AAA due to a pay dispute. Much like his associate Alebrije II, Cuije II has made many appearances for AAA and turned up on house shows, but has never been shown or even referred to on TV since his debut. The new character seems to exist largely to keep gimmick active. It's likely that this is not the first character the man under the mask has played, he may currently be active under another character, masked or unmasked.
Magdalena Caballero, generally known as La Dama Enmascarada was part of the first group of Mexican women who became professional wrestlers and one of the early, if not the first, holder of the Mexican National Women's Championship. She initially worked as a Circus Strongwoman, but later became a professional wrestler, trained by Jack O'Brien. Her long-running feud with Irma González cost her her mask in 1958. She also acted in several Lucha films. She retired from professional wrestling around 1962 to return to the Circus.
Guerreros Tuareg, also known as Rebeldes del Desierto and once upon a time started out as Pandilla Guerrera, is a CMLL low/mid-card stable that existed from around 2004 and slowly faded out in the late 2010s as members left the group, changed their gimmick or died. They never won a championship under the "Guerreros Tuareg" name, not did much else of note other than occupying the lower half of the card.
- Members
- Decnnis has been part of AAA since the start of his major league career, with the exception of a single week. He's spent most of that time as a early match tecnico, though he's spent more time in recent years as a rudo. Either way, he's been pretty boy character.
Decnnis started in early 2001 as a member of then debuting Barrio Boys (with Alan & Billy Boy), a young skateboarding trio. The Barrio Boys feuded with the Black Family, basically their rudo equivalent in terms of experience. The feud spilled over into a battle over the Mexican National Atomicos Championship, with the Barrios teaming with Oscar Sevilla to win the titles twice. None of the members of the group were individually spotlighted much during this time.
Decnnis was also one of six AAA wrestlers to go on the VANS Warped Tour in 2007, wrestling lucha libre matches as a side show to the concerts.
That started to change in 2006, as Billy Boy engaged in a long run feud with Gran Apache over Fabi Apache. When Billy Boy become depressed over his complete losses in the feud and refused to fight in matches, both Alan and Decnnis turned on him and allied with Gran Apache. This was the first time Decnnis had been on the rudo side.
Decnnis got a new look as part of a joining the Guapos VIP in mid 2007, replacing Alan Stone as part of the Guapos vs Bello Stones feud. Teaming with Zumbido & Scorpio Jr. gave Decnnis a fresh start, since the non-Billy members of the Guapos had been left behind before their break up. It wasn't a much different character for Decnnis, just now playing a blond rudo version of a pretty boy, but it was different enough to make Decnnis individually important in a long time.
Perro Aguayo Jr. began his career at the age of 15 in AAA as a tecnico. He teamed with his father Perro Aguayo. Formed a team Los Junior Atomicos and later a tag team with Hector Garza. In 2003 left AAA and joined CMLL. Continued on mainly as a tecnico until he turned heel in a famous angle when he won the Leyenda de Plata tournament and when Hijo del Santo came to award him the trophy he smashed it. In 2004 created Los Perros del Mal which became a hugely popular heel group within CMLL. They battled the likes of Mistico I & Negro Casas. Perrito along with other Perros del Mal members left CMLL in 2008 to form their own promotion effectively turning the group into an even bigger entity. The promotion used everyone from Indie, CMLL and Triple A stars. In 2010 Perrito returned to AAA to lead an invasion of his Perros del Mal into the promotion. Perrito himself became an even bigger star as the top heel in AAA feuding with all the tecnicos and forming La Sociedad with Konnan and Dorian Roldan. Perrito's legend grew as he feuded with La Parka Jr., Cibernetico, Myzteziz, Rey Misterio Jr., and El Patrón Alberto.
Zeuxis is a young ruda who quickly rose up the ranks in CMLL's Women's division. Achieved success competing for CMLL sister promotion REINA in Japan. Won the Mexican National Women's Championship from Estrellita in early 2015. Had a set back after suffering an ankle injury. After returning, she bounced back strong and back at the top. On September 16, 2017, she picked up the biggest win of her career by defeating Princesa Sugehit for her mask at the CMLL 84th Anniversario show.
The latest in the seemingly never ending line of AAA pretty boy characters, El Elegido was a Monterrey wrestler scooped up by Antonio Pena. Elegido's progress in AAA seemed to crater after Pena's passing, with the new management group preferring other wrestlers. Elegido's also run afoul of those in charge by pushing his stripping gimmick a bit too far.
AAA tends to put Elegido on TV for a few weeks, starting or continuing a storyline with him, then just drops the whole idea for a few months before repeating the idea again. Elegido's considered a very unskilled luchador, but is still tremendously popular with female audience.
The AAA World Heavyweight Championship was created to be the one grand championship in AAA. It's not the first attempt the promotion: the IWC World Heavyweight Championship had this purpose, while the AAA Campeón de Campeones Championship more explicitly tried to fill that void. Both belts failed to catch hold, and became a part of the collection of miscellaneous championships held by AAA wrestlers. The goal of the initial tournament was to take those other titles out of play.
- Cavernario is a rudo (bad guy) in CMLL. He’s a newer part of the Peste Negra group and has been professional wrestling. He has a couple of brothers who also wrestling, but he’s the first of his family to crack the main roster.
- Alejandro Jiménez (Left) better known as Espetrito II and Alberto Jiménez (right) were both murdered in 2009 by two prostitutes. On June 20, 2015 the Jiménez twins became the first Luchadors to be featured on the Investigation Discoveries' channel in the show Tabloid hosted by Jerry Springer. Considering how ugly the prostitutes were it is very likely that the show glamorized just how much money was to be made by two 30-something year old Mini-Estrellas on the Mexican independent circuit.
The CMLL Universal Tournament took the Leyenda de Plata event as the annual most prestigious CMLL tournament. It includes most (though not all) of CMLL's top wrestlers in a three week sixteen man single elimination tournament. Champions are drawn into two blocks and seeded by battle royal. The winner of each block face on the third week in a full three falls no time limit match. The winner of the tournament is awarded a red and gold belt, though the championship is not defended thru the year.
He later decided to get a new name, so he came up with the name Canek, based on the name of the Mayan warrior Jacinto Canek. Canek's debut match also happened to be during the 1st card ever at a new building that later would become one of the most important Mexican arenas during the 80s: El Toreo De Cuatro Caminos. That 24th of March of 1973, Gallo Tapado and Chicano Power fought "Kanek" (spelled like that) and TNT in the main event, while As Charro and Tony Salazar faced El Lince and El Cóndor in the semi main-event.
- Rey de Reyes (Event) (King of Kings) is one of AAA's annual major events. It's the first major event of the year for AAA, usually held in March. The first Rey de Reyes was in 1997.
The show features the crowning of a Rey de Reyes champion, typically the winner of a 16 man tournament (though it's changed many times over the year.) In recent years, the winner of the Rey de Reyes tournament has earned a shot at the AAA World Heavyweight Championship at a major event, though not always right away.
The IWRG Tortugas Ninjas is the most recent group of luchadors to dress up as adolescent turtle practitioners of ninjitsu. The group made their debut in 2014, using the names Leo (blue mask), Mike (orange mask), Rafy (red mask) and Teelo (purple mask). In 2015 the original Leo returned to wrestling under the name Látigo and a new wrestler took over the Leo role. Rafy, Leo and Mike held the Distrito Federal Trios Championship from May 1, 2015 to February 22, 2017 and the group is generally very popular with kids in Naucalpan.
Nuevo Generacion Dinamitas is a trio of second generation luchadors, consisting of Cuatrero and Sansón (sons of Cien Caras) teaming with their cousin Forastero working for CMLL. The trio started working for CMLL in 2015 mainly on the lower end of the card. In November 2015 they won the Occidente Trios Championship but like most of the Occidente titles it was hardly defended. Within one week during the summer of 2017 the team won the CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship (Cuatrero and Sansón) as well as the Mexican National Trios Championship.
Sam Adonis is an American rudo wrestler currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) where he is using a "pro-Trump" gimmick. In 2017 Adonis received a lot of mainstream US news coverage due to his pro-Donald Trump character that is making him a hated rudo with the Mexican wrestling fans. He originally traveled to Mexico for the 2016 International Gran Prix but proved to be successful with his character and is rising up the ranks of CMLL.
Fénix, also known as Rey Fénix, Fénix el Rey and The King is a highly talented Mexican luchador currently working on the Mexican and US Independent circuit. He first rose to fame in AAA but really got noticed on a world wide level with the debut of Lucha Underground. In 2016 he had a high profile fall out with AAA, leaving the promotion to seek better opportunities on his own. Since then AAA has tried to block various variations of the "Fénix" name for copy right reasons leading to various monikers. Fénix along with his brother Pentagón Jr. are in high demand all over Mexico and the U.S., collectively billed as "The Lucha Brothers".
Ciclón Veloz Jr. was one of the first Mexicans to use the "Jr." in the name, perhaps even the first one. He was a very popular star in Nuevo León state and even had a nice reign as National Middleweight champion after defeating local icon Humberto Garza on April 6, 1971 at Arena Coliseo in Monterrey. He defended the title several times in Mexico City as well, and he ended up losing it to Adorable Rubí, an "exotico", on December 14, 1973 in Mexico City.
To quote "Dr. Lucha" Steve Sims, Diablo Velazco is arguably one of the 10 most influential people in the entire history of lucha libre and un-arguably one of the top 20. He's the most famous trainer ever in lucha libre and a man that gave everything he had to lucha. He always had such a big reputation as a trainer but he never was in it for the money, as he'd firmly refuse to train any wrestlers without any knowledge of amateur wrestling because he wasn't there to make "stars", he was there to make "wrestlers". Though in the end, the quality of many of those Velazco-trained wrestlers made them stars.
His first appearance at Arena Mexico was on April 3, 1938, as "El Murciélago Enmascarado" (Masked Bat), having a tough match with Jack O'Brien, who won the match as the fierce rookie was disqualified, via ruling of excessive punishment. It should be noted that he was the second Mexican masked wrestler ever, and the fourth ever in Mexico, as his predecessors were El Enmascarado (Mexican wrestler Luis Núñez), La Maravilla Enmascarada (The Masked Marvel aka Ciclon MacKey) and El Enmascarado de Chicago.
The NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, is a championship promoted by CMLL, in essence it is the continuation of the lineage of the NWA World Welterweight Championship with the word "Historic" added after Blue Demon Jr. and the NWA demanded the original title back. This particular championship was created on August 12, 2010 and given to Mephisto, who had held the previous NWA title. The original championship actually predated the National Wrestling Alliance, tracing it's lineage back to El Santo winning the championship in 1946. The current champion is Volador Jr. (Pictured), who is on his second NWA Historic Middleweight Title run after defeating La Sombra at the 2014 Juicio Final show. There has been a total five different holders of the championship; Mephisto, La Sombra, Negro Casas, Mascara Dorada and Volador Jr.
Atlantis and Último Guerrero have been working with or against each other since 2005, first as part of Los Guerreros del Atlantida and later on as bitter rivals building towards a mask vs. mask match. Originally anticipated to be at CMLL's 80th Anniversary show, but CMLL sweved the fans and gave them La Sombra unmasking Volador Jr. to the displeasure of the fans. The two will meet in the main event of the 81st Anniversary show where one will be unmasked. Billed as the "Match of the Millenium", it is definitely the biggest CMLL match since Atlantis unmasked Villano III. After September 19 one of these men will be unmasked forever. Friends, enemies, championship partners and opponents, soon one will add "un-masker" to the list
El Hijo del Fantasma, son of El Fantasma as his name indicates, is currently working for AAA and is part of El Consejo. The irony of Hijo del Fantasma representing "El Consejo" (referring to CMLL) is rather ironic as he spent a couple of years before jumping from CMLL in the booking team's dog house for doing a try out with WWE. Had a bright career and won several championships, including the CMLL World Trios Championship and the CMLL World Middleweight Championship before being hit with what fans called the "Fantasma Curse". Jumped to AAA to actually get a win and became the first AAA World Cruiserweight Champion at TripleMania XXII outlasting 9 other wrestlers, putting the "Fantasma Curse" in the grave.
Golden Magic, IWRG regular who has already won the IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Championship twice and the WWS World Welterweight Championship in his career. Being only 24 years old Golden Magic has already established himself as a very talented wrestler. Second generation wrestler, son of Mr. Magia that aspect is not played up very much, neither is his past history as a fake Brazo under the name "Brazo Metalico". Has already won the hairs of King Drako, Alan Extreme and X-Fly as well as the mask of Oficial 911. Is a part of Los Revolucionarios with Dinamic Black and Veneno but you would be excused for not knowing that.
In 1968, Valente Pérez came up with a new character that had money written all over it. He thought about an ultimate heel nemesis for Mil Mascaras, and what better for that than the subject of darkness? He had even designed the perfect mask for this wrestler - a faceless hood. That's how Tinieblas was born, but in the end, he made his debut (and spent the rest of his career) as a tecnico and not as a rudo. In his first match, he teamed with Dixon and Shadow to face Dr. Wagner, El Solitario and Renato Torres in the main event of the August 20, 1971 Arena Mexico card.
Pentagon Jr. Debuted in AAA in 2011 as the nemesis of Fénix. In 2013 took the gimmick of Pentagon Jr. In 2015 he debuted in Lucha Underground as a vicious rudo who after defeating his opponents would use an armbar to break an arm. He was being guided by a mysterious master/maestro who encouraged him in his evil ways. His mantra is Cero Miedo which translates to zero fear. This means he has no fear of anyone or anything. He fights with no fear and he has no problem hurting anyone who gets in his way. Cero Miedo drives him to be as aggressive as possible to reach his goals. Cero Miedo is not just a phrase, its a way of life.
Guerrero Maya Jr. (Born August 8, 1985), is the son of Black Terry and is currently a CMLL mid-card tecnico teaming with Atlantis and Delta as Los Reyes del Atlantida. He is a former holder of the Mexican National Trios Championship as part of Los Reyes. Worked as Multifacético in IWRG where he was pushed to a degree that the fans turned on him, he was only able to silence the critics through his feud with Black Terry and series of great matches. Excellent high flyer who uses Sacrifica Maya as his finishing move and a Tope con Giro that often sees him land in the first row at Arena Mexico. Also uses a Tope en Reversa both inside and outside the ring. Former holder of the IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Championship and once competed under the name "Samba".
Aero Star is a criminally underused AAA high flying Luchador, trained by Abismo Negro and Gran Apache. Usually works low to mid card matches teaming with Real Fuerza Aérea AAA, working against other high flying wrestlers. Known for high risk moves, including leaps off the top rope that attains high elevation and leaping off the lighting rigs.
