[[Patán|El Patán]] was scheduled to defend the title on [[January 1]], [[2024]] along with the then Baja California Tag Team Champions [[Maverick]] and [[Griffin]] against [[Inferno (Baja California)|Infierno]], [[Fray Diablo Jr. (2023)|Fray Diablo]] and [[Charger Jr.]] who would be wagering their masks. Patán and Griffin were unable to compete and he was stripped of the title by the Commission. And the Baja California Tag Team Champions were stripped of the titles as well.

The Baja California Middleweight Championship is a state title, regulated by Baja California. It is currently in Mexicali. All wrestlers in the middleweight class are eligible for the championship, and the title may only be defended in Baja California.
