Appeared on Titanes en el Ring on 1983 as an spectator under the name od Uzcudún challenging Martin Karadagian in a beard versus beard match in which he was defeated by Karadagian. By 1984, he was repackaged as Ivan el Siberiano in Titanes en el Ring and in the independent circuit until 1988. In Lucha Fuerte he went as Rasputín el Monje Negro or El Monje Maldito, and became one of the most fearsome rudos of that time.
