Calgary based wrestler brought to Mexico specifically and only to lose a mask to Villano IV. September/October was usually a slow time for UWA (likely because it was a strong time for CMLL), and the mask program was an attempt to fix that. Tigre Canadiense got over stronger than expected, opening the door to a later tecnico turn, a 1994 return to UWA, and later stints in AAA, CMLL and Monterrey.
