El Pocho despite having a short career as a luchador due to a spine fracture he is very respected in Lucha Libre. El Pocho was one of the meanest and ruthless rudos. He had an All-American patriot gimmick. He did not speak to the audience in Spanish. EL Pocho's mask was designed by Sombra Azul and Rey Leopoldo. El Pocho trained 4 years, Greco Roman Wrestling and 2 Lucha Libre before he made his debut having Super Astro and Zorro de Oro aka Golden Fox as his mentors. EL Pocho then became a referee for many great matches during the Golden Era of Lucha Libre for Benjamin Mora and Jose Luis de los Santos. El Pocho was one of the first luchadores to help start the Golden Era of Lucha Libre in Tijuana.
