On [[August 10]],[[2016]] Ring of Honor began a have a working relationship with [[CMLL]]. CMLL wrestlers began appearing at ROH events such as [[Stuka Jr.]], [[Dragon Lee]], & [[Angel de Oro]]. ROH wrestler [[Matt Taven]] spent three weeks in CMLL in September 2016.  ROH held a tournament to crown their first Six Man (Trios) Champions in which [[Ultimo Guerrero]], [[Hechicero]], & [[Okumura]] competed as Team CMLL.
