Before following his father's foot steps in professional wrestling, Estudiante Jr. had a back background sport in olympic and greco-roman wrestling. He participated in state and National competitions. He was part of the first generation of Mr. Tempest (90s) Professional Wrestling School.

In a short period of time he reached the main event matches. So far he had received opponents from the biggest promotions in Mexico and independent circuit.
