The 1996 Homage to Salvador Lutteroth show was held on March 22 in Arena Mexico.

This show was retroactively declared to be the first part of the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas annual series of shows, although only the founder of the promotion was honored on this show. Major spring shows taking previously are officially considered separate.
