Rey Negro had rivalries which ended in Luchas de Apuestas matches like the one with Bronco.  Probably his longest feud was against American Rebel who was considered the best wrestler in Mexicali during the new millenium. Actually that feud began since they were training partners and it continued with Championship matches until they went to the mask vs mask.  On January 1, 2015, it marked the end of a long time rivalry with Voltron.  The ending was controversial due to the constant interventions and the bottle shot which ended the match.  The full Arena Nacionalista was in shock.  They did not accept the result and asked for the indult.  Several minutes passed and the commisioner did not do anything.  Rey Negro decided to unmask himself insted of being indilted revealing his name, Anibal Hernández.
