Jaibo is from the neighborhood of La Colonia Campbell in Tampico, Mexico. People from Tampico are known as "Jaibo", hence his in-ring name. He had been a fan of lucha since he was a kid and was inspired by Ray Mendoza, Ringo Mendoza and Angel Blanco. Beto Villalobos trained him and El Jaibo II to become wrestlers.
