Notes

Misawa, possibly the greatest professional wrestler of all time, spent most of his career in Japanese promotions AJPW and NOAH, which he founded. Misawa's time in Mexico was in CMLL as part of a learning excursion.

Misawa, teaming with fellow AJPA novato Samurai Shiro, started in Mexico from March 16, 1984 and was expected to say a year. Misawa was quickly brought back to Japan to redebut on July 31, 1984, as the new Tiger Mask after AJPW purchased the rights to use the character in wrestling.

During his short stint in CMLL, Misawa challenged Satanico for the NWA World Middleweight Championship, Misawa's first major championship match.

Misawa passed away in 13th June 2009, during a match, due to injuries suffered taking a backdrop driver from Akitoshi Saito in a match for the GHC Tag Team Championship, his partner was Go Shiozaki.
