[[LLU|Lucha Libre Unida]] (LLU) announced through Facebook they agreed to a deal with [[Luis Reyna]] in order to promote three championships in hands of Reyna's older brother, and former lucha libre promoter [[Tony Reyna]]. These championships were the Northern Light Heavyweight Championship, the [[Northern Welterweight Championship]], the [[LLU Classic Championship|Nuevo Leon Middleweight Championship]] and the [[Nuevo Leon Women's Championship]].

Jessy El Vasco Jr. is the current champion. He defeated Kid Lion on November 1, 2015 in Gimnasio Nuevo Mezquital in San Nicolás, Nuevo León to win the title.

History of Championship

Lucha Libre Unida (LLU) announced through Facebook they agreed to a deal with Luis Reyna in order to promote three championships in hands of Reyna's older brother, and former lucha libre promoter Tony Reyna. These championships were the Northern Light Heavyweight Championship, the Northern Welterweight Championship, the Nuevo Leon Middleweight Championship and the Nuevo Leon Women's Championship.

The first champions recognized under management of the promotion were Furor (Light Heavyweight), Sombra del Ring (Welterweight), and Luis Reyna (Middleweight).
