On [[August 10]], [[2016]] Ring of Honor (ROH) began a working relationship with [[CMLL]]. CMLL wrestlers began appearing at ROH events such as [[Stuka Jr.]], [[Dragon Lee II]], & [[Ángel de Oro]]. ROH wrestlers began appearing at CMLL shows such as [[Matt Taven]], [[Flip Gordon]] and [[Kenny King]].  ROH held a tournament to crown their first Six Man (Trios) Champions in which [[Ultimo Guerrero]], [[Rey Hechicero|Hechicero]], & [[Okumura]] competed as Team CMLL.

In 2022 Ring of Honor was bought out by [[AEW]] owner Tony Khan and is now a sub-promotion of AEW. CMLL luchadores once again occasionally appear.

ROH wrestlers began appearing at CMLL shows such as Matt Taven, Flip Gordon and Kenny King. ROH held a tournament to crown their first Six Man (Trios) Champions in which Ultimo Guerrero, Hechicero, & Okumura competed as Team CMLL.

In 2022 Ring of Honor was bought out by AEW owner Tony Khan and is now a sub-promotion of AEW. CMLL luchadores once again occasionally appear.
