Archi had a vast background sports such as judo, karate, rugby, swimming, and play soccer professionally in Club Atlético Independiente until a knee injury ended his career. In 1980 he joined to the gymnasium of Jorge Di Cicca, where he prepared as a professional wrestler. Three years later, Archi entered to Titanes en el Ring as amateur, filling in live shows. His breakthrough on television was until 1988 where he became the new incarnation of biblical character David el Pastor. The gimmick was already introduced in 1973 by other wrestlers, however Archi added his own style performing spectacular holds, high flying moves, and a vast array of tecnical resources. Alternatively used the gimmick of Voltron.
