Early [[AAA]] wrestler, who used both the Halcon 78 and Mexicano name until going in semi-retirement around 2000. May now work in AAA's office. Still occasionally appears, but the more recent Mexicano on AAA live events might have been [[Amnesia]].
The El Halcon magazine started hyping a second El Halcon wrestler in 1977. The original [[El Halcon]] luchador, Danny Ortiz, lost his mask to Mil Mascaras in July 1977; the magazine appears to have known the mask loss was happening, was unhappy about it, and wanted a new wrestler to continue that name. That became this wrestler, noted as Halcon 78 for the year he started wrestling in Mexico City, and using the same mask as the original. He had some success through the 80s, then got a new breath of life as El Mexicano in AAA in the early days of the promotion through the early 200s. Seems to have been around AAA off and on since, though it's possible AAA may have later tried out others under the Mexicano name.
