His interest for lucha libre began since he was 10 years old. He worked as shoeshine boy and one day he went to the Arena Coliseo and he watched Espanto I & Black Shadow against El Santo & Rolando Vera who would become his first maestro. Since that day he had the illusion to become a luchador.
Began to train in 1970 at the of 15 with Rolando Vera for two years then he continued with Dick Medrano, after him he was trained by Rene Guajardo until his debut on December 25, 1979 at La Monumental de Monterrey with Guajardo's Division del Norte. He went in a tag team match with Lucero Azul against Payutla & As Negro.
His first ringname was Babe Joe to honor Babe Face. He made a good career under that name, but sometimes he was confused with Babe Face. He had a notable match in which he teamed with Dr. Wagner against Mil Máscaras and Enrique Vera he was well received but he decided to assume the identity of Marvik. He went also under the name of Robin while Aero Flash was Batman and then Universitario in the United States for 5 years.
He took the name of Marvik during a tour in Torreon he saw a billboard about a brand of pants with the name of Marvik and he wanted something different and original, he liked the name and took it. With that name he went against recognized luchadors of his time. Big names such as Atlantis, Lizmark, La Fiera, Guerrero Negro I, Los Arqueros del Espacio, Los Diabólicos, Los Hermanos Dinamita, Los Matematicos, Los Estrellas Blancas, Bello Greco, Sergio El Hermoso, Indio Jerónimo, Sicodelico, Felino, Black Warrior, Arandu, Kato Kung Lee, Mano Negra, Satánico, Pirata Morgan, Oro, Solar, Pierroth, and much more.
Skilled as técnico and rudo. He was considered as a high flyer during his time, but he a notable technical wrestler. His wrestling style was known for being fast and effective.
He had wrestled in Auditorio and Plaza de Toros de Torreón, Arena Olímpico Laguna, Coliseo Victorino of Durango, Arena Santiago Gomez of Piedras Negras, Plaza de Toros de Piedras Negras, Arena Coliseo Monclova, Arena Coliseo Reynosa, Arena Mexico Matamoros, Auditorio Miguel Alemán, Auditorio Rio Bravo, Plaza de Toros Cadereyta, Arena Coliseo Saltillo, Arena Coliseo Monterrey, and La Monumental de Monterrey. He was wrestling in the United States for six years. He wrestled in Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, among others.
He was director of the unior of luchadores of Nuevo Laredo for 22 years. He is a notable trainer in Nuevo Laredo along with Master Boy, El Albañil, El Astuto and Maravilla Lopez.
