Talk:WWA World Middleweight Championship
This could probably use your special touch, cubs.--Robert 01:04, 11 June 2006 (CDT)
So Mistico came out with the belt last night at Arena Mexico and Alexis says he's the new champ. Hmmm.--Robert 20:39, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
I saw that picture of him with four titles and just figured the IWRG belt existed again. I'd bet on a Gimnasio Nuevo Leon change. Hopefully one of the magazines will elucidate. --thecubsfan 21:49, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
Look to Tijuana, not Monterrey. Angel Blanco Jr. works TJ these days and he and Mistico were on opposite sides of a six man tag the other week or two.--Robert 21:50, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
Perhaps he can win them both? --thecubsfan 13:13, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Nah, Solar just runs around with some belt he decides to defend every once in a while. I think he calls it the 'Americas' Title. It may be a replica of the WWA Middleweight Title he used to hold though.--Robert 05:57, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Did Mistico ever vacate the title? I think this is just another new branch. --thecubsfan 06:13, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
We missed a title change in the Monterrey branch which isn't hard since there are 10 billion shows each weekend and nobody reports on them. Over on RFC's board the promoter said:
"EL AÑO PASADO (08) ENTRE SEPTIEMBRE Y OCTUBRE EN L.L.A. (GYM N.L.) SE LO QUITO AL TIGRE UNIVERSITARIO EN UNA LUCHA DE MASCARA V.S. CAMPEONATO SIENDO EL DIFUNTO II EL GANADOR"
Meanwhile this match is taking place on Saturday:
LUCHA POR EL CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL MEDIO WWA EL DIFUNTO II ( CAMPEON ) V.S. TIGRE UNIVERSITARIO (RETADOR)
I'm guessing Tigre is reclaiming the belt he owns and will become the 4 time champ - especially since the show is to honor his father. I'm putting this here just incase results never come in and all of a sudden two months from now we see him defending the belt against someone we'll actually have conformation on when the exact switch occured.--Robert 22:22, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Title defense vs Charles Lucero on August 15th.--Robert 03:00, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Wrestling Observer 1994-09-19 has Onita Jr. defeating Zumbido for this title @ Pista Arena Revolucion on 1994-08-25. No indication of who was champion at the time. It's a bit random, expecting to read about it being a different title in an issue or two. --thecubsfan 21:07, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
In a recent interview El Estudiante said he won this championship in a match against Blue Panther in Tijuana. Then he lost the Championship against Príncipe Negro (Baja California) after that he regained the championship in a rematch and lost it against Super Muñeco. I am not sure if I can add this information to this title History it is a kind of confusing.
