Talk:UWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship
Oh, as for the 01, 02, 03, etc. thing - I think the first time I edited a title, I saw the defenses were 1, 2, 3 - and I just figured 01, 02, 03 didn't match so I started to fix it wherever I saw it. Blame it on my obsessive compulsiveness? I dunno.--Robert 02:41, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Enrique Vera's first title reign title win doesn't quite make sense - the Wagner title defense was announced before the Vera would've won the title. I'd guess it's a week or so earlier, but I don't have a date. --Thecubsfan (talk) 13:32, 11 November 2013 (CST)
Aeroflash-UWA World Cruiserweight Champion. Fake Title? [[1]] Campeon 19 November 2013
I would not consider it an offical UWA title unless we could find a UWA show where it was awarded. --Thecubsfan (talk) 13:32, 19 November 2013 (CST)
The Solitario reign is most likely the UWA World Junior Light Heavyweight Championship being confused for this one. The magazines in late 1982 mention Solitario running into issues with the CDMX commission possibly no longer the Junior Light Heavyweight title because they don't see it as a real weight class. It doesn't appear that actually goes anywhere, but perhaps this title was created as a replacement and then (in usual Mexico fashion) the old belt didn't go away and there was confusion on which was which. I'm not going to touch this title history until I go through 1983 in hopes I get a better sense of what's happened, but putting this out there just in case anyone else is confused (or I never get back to this.)
I've found a 1996 Aeroflash "UWA Cruiserweight Championship" defense; maybe all the UWA Cruiser stuff is just this belt with a different name. Thecubsfan (talk) 15:04, 21 June 2021 (PDT)
