Biography

Since a young age Mr. Tempest shown an interest in sports. Prior his wrestling career, Mr. Tempest had a background sport in bodybuilding and amateur wrestling. He won bodybuilding contests and Intercolegial Wrestling tournaments. He is well regarded as a good role model for the youth, because of his passion for sports and his determination. He overcame all obstacles to reach his goals. He decided to follow a career as a professional wrestler, because the discipline is according with his personality.

Mr. Tempest was trained by Raul Romero, one of the most prominent wrestling trainers of México and Chico Casasola who besides of being his trainer was also an inspiration for him. Rafael Salamanca also contributed in his training. His wrestling abilities and physique were result of long hours of training and practice.

His professional debut was on 1964 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, he went one on one against Red Terror. On 1968, Mr. Tempest made his debut in Monterrey was in a Tag Team Match against Kirvan Kid, and Scorpio in Monterrey. He was billed as a foreign wrestler at first, in some versions he was billed from Central America and some Texas, making him more mysterious. He wanted a ring name that represented a force of nature in the ring and according with his fast and high-flying wrestling style for these reasons he came up with the name of Mr. Tempest. The original colors of his mask and gear are the same of the Puerto Rican flag which he considers as his second home country.

He was part of a "Golden Generation" of young Coliseinos along with Chicano Power, Espectro Jr., Dr. O'Borman, Tupamaru, and Ursus. He debuted in Pista Arena Revolucion on July 29, 1973 in a tag team match with Pato Soria against Los Escorpiones. He made tours in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Nuevo Laredo, Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada, Reynosa, Ciudad Obregon, Torreón, and all over México. He wrestled in the United States and Puerto Rico as well.

Some of the most important events in which he participated were the inauguration of Arena Cuatro Caminos in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas and events at Arena Coliseo and Pista Arena Revolucion.

He retired in 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He previously made a campaign in the South East of Mexico. His wrestling career brought him satisfactions.

Mr. Tempest is thankful with his family and all the Lucha Libre fans who always supported him during his career who saw them as part of his family.
