Mexican National Lightweight Tournament, 1934

EMLL (or perhaps a commission?) started creating national championships in 1934. The Mexican National Welterweight Championships & Mexican National Heavyweight championships were created with no obvious issue. The lightweight title was not so fortunate.

A tournament match between David Barragan & Ciclon Veloz took place on June 14, 1934. David Barragan was scheduled to face Dientes Hernandez in a later match. The match didn't take place, and the tournament appears to have been abandoned. The championship would not be decided until 1937.
