There's El Hijo Del Anibal but I'm not sure that needs a redirect, since it's a misspelling ("de Anibal"). Isn't there a software correction or something like that for this? [[User:Wagnerpanther|wagner/panther]] 00:57, 7 Sep 2005 (CDT)

Good. We'll formalize the rules and also include stuff about "real name" usage, etc. I'll start adding new shit later today or tomorrow.

O'Brien had a Mexican passport which I think was the "trick". I wondered about it when I wrote about it, too. A few years ago Salsero won some national title as well. wagner/panther 13:44, 2 Sep 2005 (CDT)

Maybe a stupid question. Do we REALLY need redirect pages for EVERY alias? I can understand Mr. Águila/Mr. Aguila/Essa Rios, but somebody like Black Warrior has maybe 10 gimmicks that nobody is really going to link to, or even mention, outside of that wrestler's actual page where there's no point to linking to itself. Won't these pages be orphaned? OK, just trying to save you some work. Today I'll add new bios. wagner/panther 23:49, 2 Sep 2005 (CDT)

I (Bix) am a dummy who skipped over the Community Portal mention in the main page discussion, sooo...

All accent redirects done. Started w/ alternate gimmick/name redirects. I'm slowly making a list in Sandbox of what needs to be done, please help! Also, maybe we should do this talk page in reverse chronological order (most recent on top)?

Also, I've added a handful of photos to bio galleries, and will add more over the weekend from the 150 best thing Jose scanned Bix 20:01, 2 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Converting some old Jose posts at WC to roughcut bios. First up is Super Muñeco. Bix 17:55, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Added Jose's "Gordy List" & recommended matches for Blue Panther. Where is the Atlantis list available? Did you do one for Villano III (I forget...)? Bix 18:23, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Atlantis gordy list I didn't do one for V-3, I wrote a bio instead. I didn't even remember that Muñeco post. I'll eventually write more stuff like that.

Atlantis list is up and I'm gonna do some formatting adjustments to it. Yes, that Muñeco post is rad. Good thing it was archived. Bix 19:21, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

redirects

For every single one...probably not. Well known alternate gimmicks are probably good enough.

The way bix (very nicely) set it up, it doesn't take much more time for me to do multiple redirects, so it's not a huge deal at the moment. But it may not be as neccesary for new bios. --thecubsfan 19:40, 3 Sep 2005 (CDT)

Thanks! I figure there might as well be as many as possible, especially since I did just about all of them anyway :). Someone could be watching a tape or looking at a matchlist, wonder who Bali is, punch in the name, and go right to Black's profile. Also, considering EVERYTHING (images, redirects, etc) goes onto the recent changes page, could everyone post in here when they launch a new profile/article/etc? Bix 18:29, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

You're going to love this.

Apparently El Hijo del Santo and El Hijo Del Santo aren't the same. Wiki is unneedly picky about captialization. I set up the redirects now, but...

table template

Check the Mistico bio for a quick look at a simple match table. We need different columns for stakes and important matches, but at least I figured out I have to do it with wikiscript. Template stuff is pretty easy - you gotta remember to use the start and end tag, and the fields on the rows don't even need names.

the font...is not the font I wanted it to be. Neither is the size. Gotta figure that out, but it's easy to test and change. Colors are at least sorta nice.

--thecubsfan 20:03, 6 Sep 2005 (CDT)

That font & color combo is making my eyeballs bleed. Maybe it's best to just port over Jose's HTML from La Arena (as tested in Sandbox)? Bix 18:29, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Sure, why not. I'm not sure I have it perfect (border color seems off), but it's a close start. Though, in my defense, the old version would've looked 10% less ugly if the font was working. Maybe I'll save that green for something else.

I'll work up templates for stakes matches either later tonight or tommorow. Then we'll have some real fun.

new bios/pages

(splitting this up. Maybe we need seperate pages or I'm just over doing it.)

Maybe we could use a Category:New Bio or Page tag? Someone will have to take 'em off when they're no longer new, but there's no easy indicator of added pages; New Pages includes the redirects, which is annoying.
