History of Championship

This foreign Championship was brought in México by Black Shadow Jr. defeating Sandokan in Panamá. He had at least two successful title defenses against Angel Satánico & Dr. Muerte (?). He lost the Championship against Drakma at Arena Coliseo Mexicali on June 17, 2014. Pzaiko became the new Intercontinental Champion defeating Drakma at Arena Coliseo Mexicali on December 10, 2016. On March 12, 2017, Arena Nacionalista held a wrestling event named Noche de Campeones in which Guerrero Rojo became the new Intercontinental Heavyweight Wrestling Champion by defeating Pzaiko & Drakma.
