Worked his way up through Arena Coliseo Guadalajara in the early portion of the decade to a Mexico City regular by mid of the decade. Match with [[Rene Guajarado]] in 1967 was called one of the best of the year. Worked main events by 1968 and seemed groomed to be a star for the following decade and was a particular favorite of Lucha Libre magazine.
