Didn't know where to put this, but ever since the last update the Alphabet jumps haven't been working. --Flashmagic 00:07, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Lucha Television Info

I don't know if it really qualifies as lucha libre, but there is now a show called "100% Lucha" on Teléfe Internacional from Argentina. It features absurd GLOW-like gimmicks (surfer, delivery boy, pharaoh, ninja, Scottish Highlander, snake, chiropractor) on luchadores that are supposed to be from different parts of the world (Cairo, Milan, Chicago, Istanbul, etc.). The wrestling is vaguely lucha libre-style when it has any style at all. --DaClyde 19:54, 26 Mar 2006 (CST)

It would appear that "100% Lucha" is the successor to previous Argentine lucha libre shows "Titanes en el Ring" and "Lucha Fuerte" from the 1980s. Twenty years later, it even features some of the same talent.--DaClyde 09:24, 29 March 2006 (CST)

Added to the list. Thanks! --thecubsfan 15:07, 31 March 2006 (CST)

Greetings, I just wanted to say this is a great site! I've been working on a similar project for proffessional wrestling in general. You can find my webpage at www.smashmania.com. Good luck with everything! -- Smashmania 10:20 20 April 2006 (EST)

CHIKARA?

I'm not totally sure if this really IS lucha libre, but there's this small indy in Pennsylvania that's lucha libre-influenced called CHIKARA. Would this count, and if so, would I be allowed to write an article on it? Pyroflame 16:34, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

We've discussed this sort of thing internally back when we were setting up the site (and I wish I had those e-mails in front of me at the moment.) I can see the value of adding of CHIKARA as a promotion page, because we've got enough eligible bios of guys who've worked in Mexico and for that group (Mike Quackenbush, Skayde, Chris Hero) that you could make a case for a category of people who have worked there.

The problem is doing a CHIKARA page would seem to open the door for people to post bios of everyone's who ever worked for that promotion once and, by extension, eventually every US indy wrestler ever. It wouldn't actually open that door, because I'd be removing those pages as soon as I see 'em, but then we'd have other people wasting time making pages (new people to ignore the rules) and me wasting time deleting them, all for one promotion's page.

It'd be nice if there was a way to add CHIKARA without causing issues, but I don't see one right now. --thecubsfan 11:03, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Yes, I know

Updating the Main Page is high on the priority list.

More Lucha Television Info

While viewing wrestling on justin.tv, I came across a channel for XEJTV Canal 5--Cuidad Juarez. Turns out it's official since the official site-- http://www.xejtv.com --also has a link to the justin.tv site under "en vivo". Anyway, both CMLL and AAA are shown on Saturday (CMLL) and Sunday (AAA). The time tends to vary depending on if it's preempted by NFL or something. However, it is viewable online. Preemption of shows were usually by an hour to an hour and a half. SWIFT 21:52, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Featured profile

I edited in content for the current featured profile template (Template:MainProfile43) but it is not showing up for me on the page - am I the only one that cannot see it? Cache issue?MPJ-DK (talk) 22:17, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Nevermind it was apparently a caching issue, I see it now MPJ-DK (talk) 23:12, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Date format

I was just wondering if there is some code or something that would automatically change all dates into a single consistent date format (like autocorrect). So that when someone writes 01/05/27 it automatically turns into 2001.05.27. Is this even possible? --LuchaBoy619 (talk) 01:30, 18 March 2015 (CDT)

First, thanks for all the date fixes you've done of late. It's appreciated.

There is this add in code - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Date_Formatter - where if you put the date in a series of tags

On <date>January 1, 2007</date>, which is the same day of the
year as <date>1 January 2006</date> was, at least, in respect of
being <date>January 1</date>..

It doesn't quite do what you're looking for though - it turns words into numbers, but doesn't seem like it'll work if we already have it numbers.

What I think we need to do is have someone make a script that just looks thru all the profile pages, checks for those dates, and converts them. That person is usually me, but I haven't ever figured out how to make a bot that'll consistently work here. Not sure who else to get it. I will give it another try when I get a chance. --Thecubsfan (talk) 14:05, 26 March 2015 (CDT)
