The Japanese promotion REINA, who's full corporate name changed many times over its history (first REINA World Joshi Puroresu), was a Tokyo based female wrestling promotion from about 2010 to 2019. The promotion is notable for regularly bringing in CMLL luchadoras, as well as indie luchadoras recruited by CMLL. Japanese luchadors would also travel to CMLL as well. CMLL-REINA championships were also created to be defended in both promotions.

REINA never found solid footing and seemed to frequently turn over ownership. Yumiko Hotta, introduced as the leader of the promotion in 2010, surprisingly announced the promotion was closing after her May 12, 2012 hair match win over La Comandante. The promotion instead continued as "REINA X World", without Hotta. She would return years later for a time after another change in ownership. Those changes would continue to persist, and the amount of REINA shows decreased greatly over time. CMLL luchadors would still take long visits to Japan but were often loaned out to other women's promotions for most of their matches.

CMLL shifted their alliance to CMLL Lady's Ring starting on September 15, 2019. The CMLL-REINA championships were declared defunct at that point.
