Debuted as Aguila Veloz, then adopted the name of Legionario by an idea of José Luis Valero Mere. His arrival to the rings was in no time. In 1964 he became Olympic wrestling champion at the age of 14. At the end of 1968, the promoters saw future on him.
By 1972 he was Horoscopo II and Bufalo Salvaje they comprised a tag team which turned into a rivalry and ended in a lucha de apuestas. He lost his mask against Búfalo Salvaje (Miguel Ramírez) and he retired for about a year. He missed the rings and he decided to return. The promoter Mario Chavez gave him the name of Ariman, but he designed his mask and gears.
