Mexican National Heavyweight Championship
Defunct Champion
This title was part of AAA's World (Mega) Unification Tournament to crown a AAA World Heavyweight Champion. Charly Manson carried this championship into the match, but did not actually get to defend it, as he only faced foreigners in his two tournament matches. Manson lost in the semifinals, and the title belt has not been seen since. El Mesias, the winner of the match, did not take the belt (being from Puerto Rico, he was not eligible), but by the unification rules of the tournament, Charly possibly had to vacate the title for losing. Until AAA makes it clear otherwise, that's what we're going with.
It's quite likely this championship will appear again, either in AAA or on the indy scene, since it's still technically controlled by the Mexico City Lucha Libre commission.
