El As was one of the many faces that appeared at EMLL promoted independent cards but quickly vanished during the decade, perhaps changing to a new name or perhaps just retiring.
After training in boxing and amateur wrestler, he learned lucha libre at the Arena México Gym with Rafael Salamanca and debuted on November of 1978 in Xalapa, Veracruz, against Pequeño Gigante. With his dynamic style he gained some minor notoriety taking the mask of Lobo Vikingo (December 1980) and the hair of Ray Cruz (March 1981). Looked to have a bright future, and perhaps he did with another mask.
