The beginnings of the UWA World Lightweight Championship is unclear.
The championship has traditionally been listed as being decided by Matematico defeating Hashi Masataka in Pachuca on December 21, 1975, but it appears to be in Monterrey instead.
The Lobo Rubio/Matematico first round matches up took place on December 5th in Monterrey. Those two met in a semifinal on the 14th in Monterrey. The final took place on the 21st.
