The AAA Latin American Championship is a professional wrestling championship promoted by Lucha Libre AAA. It was introduced in 2011. It's used as a secondary championship behind the AAA World Heavyweight Championship.
Current Champions
Johnny Mundo is the current champion. He defeated Pentagón Jr. on August 28, 2016 in the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City to win the title.
History of Championship
The championship was introduced in 2011 at TripleMania XIX. Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Rob Van Dam in a decision match to become the inaugural champion.
