L.A. Park is the current champion. He defeated Dr. Wagner Jr. on December 16, 2011 in Puebla, Puebla. LA Park left AAA at the end of April 2013 and indicated he'd be returning the championship, but AAA has not made any offical announcement about the championship's status and LA Park is still listed as current champion on their website.
