Career Highlights
- Beginning of her career in 1953.
- From the late 50's through the 70's, Tito Montez was the top star reigned in Arizona.
- He held numerous titles, including versions of the Arizona State title, United States Title and "World Tag Team" titles as recognized in the area.
- Montez lost and won the Arizona Heavyweight belt so many times fans lost track of how many times he wore it.
- He was also branded "King of the Cage Matches" due to his beating so many wrestlers in this style of match, including Jody Arnold, The Spoiler, Cowboy Buddy Rose, Von Steiners, Duke Keomuka, Bearcat Wright, Bobby Mayne/Jaggers,Frankenstein, Don Kent, Jimmy Kent, Chuck Karbo, Don Fargo, and many others. Only Jody Arnold, ever defeated him in the cage.
- Blood feuds were common for Tito, as were bloody matches.
- 14,000 fans turned out at a baseball stadium to see a card headlined by Montez, Sputnik Monroe & Mario Galento with Joe Louis as a referee.
- Tito for 9 weeks straight feuded with Don Kent at the old Phoenix Madison Square Garden in the 60's and filled the arena to standing room only each week. He finally defeated Kent in a cage match and ended the feud on the next week
- Tito end his pro wrestler career in 1976.
- Tito Montez was inducted into the Oregon/Washington Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.
- Tito Montez was also inducted into the Western States Wrestling Hall of Fame.
- 2003: Tito Montrez was honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club for his outstanding career achievements.
