Previously appeared in Toryumon Mexico, including teaming with Ultimo Guerrero in their version of Gran Alternativa. Gran Guerrero was originally introduced as a rudo member of Generacion 2012, debuting in mid 2012 as Taurus. In 2013, he entered into Toreno Sangre Nueva 2013. He won his cibernetico and the right to face Soberano Jr. in the finals. Taurus lost in the finals.
Debuted as Gran Guerrero in May 2013 as a second Ultimo Guerrero to attack Ultimo's rival Atlantis. Taurus has been working early matches, but Gran Guerrero was immediately elevated to the main event. In his first, match on May 10, 2013 he teamed with Ultimo Guerrero and Volador Jr. to take on Atlantis, Mistico and La Sombra.
Ultimo Guerrero had introduced his son as Ultimo Guerrero Jr. in magazines and TV in 2009, so it was assumed Taurus was that son when he debuted, based on his look (very identical to Ultimo Guerrero when they teamed in Toryumon.) There were also conflicting rumors he was Guerrero's brother. Ultimo Guerrero introduced Gran Guerrero as his younger brother when he first appeared. Regardless of the exact relationship, the relationship itself seems to be the strongest justification for Gran Guerrero's new high position and not his readiness in the ring.
