Mictlán is the Spanish word for the Aztec underworld.
Brought into CMLL in 2006 as a generic midcard tecnico, Mictlan had previously been wrestling in Guadalajara and Monterrey. Mictlan is part of the Texano family, though details of how he fits in often conflict.
With a complete lack of CMLL accomplishments previously and below average ring work, it was no surprise Micltan lost his mask to the quickly Dragon Rojo Jr. in 2008. Mictlan has said he feels more comfortable working without his mask and does seem to have improved since his big loss. His new look makes him seem like a lot like Alex Koslov, and his subsquient hair match win over Loco Max may be part of an effort for him to fill Koslov's spot.
