Ramos Estrada era originario de Michoacán y nació en 1955, por lo que en el momento de su muerte contaba con 24 años.
José Vicente Ramos emigró de Michoacán a Jalisco en busca de una oportunidad y es en Guadalajara donde pone en contacto con el Maestro Cuauhtémoc Velasco quien daba clases en el gimnasio de la Arena tapatía y con él comenzó a conocer los secretos de la Lucha Libre, con jornadas extenuantes. El Diablo Velasco era un entrenador muy exigente y no a cualquiera le daba la oportunidad de ser su discípulo e incluso si no te veía listo, no te permitía debutar. Fueron condiscípulos de Sangre India en Guadalajara Franco Colombo, César Curiel, El Espectro Jr, Asesino Negro, Astral, El Monarca, Juan José Barrón Medina conocido como el Gran Cochisse y el hoy gran maestro y luchador Satánico fue un grupo de luchadores de alta escuela.
En sus inicios lo alentaba una sola meta, consagrase como luchador, cosa que lo estaba logrando con apenas tres años de carrera profesional y después realizarse como esposo y padre de familia –al día de su muerte, tenía poco tiempo de casado y orgulloso padre de un bebé-.
Le esperaba un futuro prometedor como luchador rudo, Apenas había ganado en lucha de apuestas, en la Arena Coliseo el día 4 de diciembre de 1979, la cabellera de Aurelio Chamaco Ortiz, el mismo que hoy conocemos como Hombre Bala.
Por desgracia ese 25 de diciembre, el futuro de Sangre India, quedó inconcluso.
¿Qué es lo que pasó ese 25 de Diciembre de 1979 en la arena Coliseo? Se llevaba a cabo una lucha en la que participaban El Vengador y César Atlas Curiel Vs. Leo López y Sangre India. En una acción, Sangre India se salió del ring y se golpeó la nuca con una butaca y su muerte fue instantánea.
Este hecho lleno de consternación a los aficionados y luchadores de la época, nadie lo podía creer, pero era verdad, Sangre India había muerto luchando en la Arena Coliseo, en la función de Navidad.
