Former member of Los Fantasticos in the Laguna area. He changed his name to Angel Azteca Jr., presumably with the permission of the original Ángel Azteca and his brother/partner changed to Ángel Azteca II before settling on the name Imperio Azteca. Started as an opening match tecnico in CMLL, and feuded with Arkangel de la Muerte, seeking to avenge Angel Azteca's mask loss. Was put in a trio with Angel de Plata and Angel de Oro when the latter two were introduced (and the originally planned third Angel never wrestled under that name.) The trio stuck together for about a year, then were split apart when Oro was moved up the card. Plata eventually disappeared (to return as Niebla Roja). Angel Azteca Jr. drifted down the cards and then off the cards entirely. Seemed to no-show CMLL main shows more often than he appeared on them in 2011 and 2012, before disappearing entirely in 2013. Has very rarely been seen back in La Laguna since leaving CMLL. Also works as a mask maker, and it's possible that part of the business may have turned more lucrative than his in-ring career.
