Tercera Dimension, also known as "Lucha en Tercera Dimension" and "Super Lucha en Tercera Dimension" was a famous lucha libre event that happened on August 21st, 1983. The event was held at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico. The event was organized by Pavillion Azteca (which would go on to become the AWWA) and Televisa. While the exact number of fans is unknown, it is said to have drawn 18,000 fans.
The event was noteworthy for not only being the only lucha libre event held at Estadio Azteca, but for also its unique set-up. The event featured three wrestling rings with three sets of matches happening simultaneously.
Despite being such a unique event, no video of the event exists and there was said to be little magazine coverage. Magazines that were affiliated with the UWA and EMLL did not cover it. Both UWA and EMLL had events that day.
Lou Thesz was a special guest referee at the event. Dientes Hernández, Espectro I and Cavernario Galindo also made appearances.
Ring One featured an 8-team losers advance tournament with the final two teams facing off in a double mask vs mask match. Halcón Dorado I and Halcón Dorado II defeated Zar de la Muerte and Puma for their masks in the final match.
Ring Two featured an 18-person battle royal(with a possible singles match at the end) for the AWWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Cesar Valentino defeated Tully Blanchard for the title with Lou Thesz as the guest referee.
Ring Three featured an 8-team losers advance tournament with the final two teams facing off in a double hair vs hair match. Chamaco Ramos and Enrique Apleton beat Rolando Valentino and Fantasma de la Opera for their hairs in the final match.
