AAA was one of the first of many promotions to form a working relationship with AEW. Omega appeared on AEW TV holding his AAA Mega Championship, and the AAA World Tag Team Championship has been defended multiple times in AEW - and even changed hands at a Dynamite taping.

As of 2023 AEW has become much more associated with CMLL, with very few AEW wrestlers seen in the AAA orbit (mostly those who were working there before like Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh, and Q.T. Marshall) and Komander being the only AAA guy getting AEW reps. AEW, CMLL and NJPW will co-promote the Wrestle Dynasty event on 2025.01.05.
